Dear Dr. Charles C. Polk School Parents and Guardians,
Welcome Back and Happy New Year 2021. I hope you all had a restful and peaceful holiday break and are staying safe and healthy during this difficult period in time. Thank you for your support and patience as we navigate through this “New Normal”. All Roselle Public Schools students are learning remotely online. We are required by law to continue to educate our children and offer them all opportunities to meet their fullest potential. We are aware that during this time, some families may be experiencing emotional, physical, and/or financial hardships. The Polk School team is working tirelessly to deliver instruction that is engaging,
intentional, and personalized for ALL students, based upon your feedback. As parents and guardians, we ask that you continue to assist us in engaging and monitoring your child as he or she continues to learn from home.
Our district has distributed devices to all students to utilize at home. If you need technical support, you may report to Abraham Clark High School, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 9 AM and 1 PM to 2 PM. For those parents who have not responded to their child's teacher or have not been in contact with the school, it is extremely important that you contact your child's teacher today with all your concerns and questions. Grab and Go Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be distributed Monday through Friday from 6:00 A.M. – 1 P.M. from Abraham Clark High School.
Parents, schools are back “In Session” and we must do everything possible to help your child close any achievement gaps. Please remember the Polk School family is here to help, guide and support you and your child. If you need assistance or support in any way, please communicate with your child's teacher or you may send me an email directly, if you wish to remain private. We are firm “Believers” in the power of a growth mindset and self-efficacy. We BELIEVE “All Students Matter” and are capable of learning, growing, and achieving their goals. Thank you in advance for your support and commitment as we continue to educate our children and community in 2021.
